Meta has launched Vibes, a new social feed dedicated to AI-generated videos within the Meta AI app and on meta.ai, allowing users to create, remix and share short-form AI content.

The feature enables users to browse AI-generated videos from creators and communities, with the feed becoming increasingly personalised over time based on user interactions and preferences.

Users can create videos from scratch, work with existing content, or remix videos from the feed by adding new visuals, layering music and adjusting styles to match personal preferences.

The platform integrates with Meta’s existing social networks, allowing users to post directly to the Vibes feed, send videos via direct message, or cross-post content to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.

When users encounter Meta AI videos on Instagram, they can tap through to remix the content within the Meta AI app, creating a seamless connection between the platforms.

Meta described Vibes as designed to make it easier to find creative inspiration and experiment with the company’s AI media tools, representing what the company calls “the first step toward a new way to discover, create, and share AI videos.”

The company stated it is developing more powerful creation tools and models in collaboration with visual artists and creators, with plans to roll these out more widely in future updates.

The launch positions Meta to compete directly with other AI video platforms while leveraging its existing social media infrastructure to distribute AI-generated content across its ecosystem of applications.
