Apple CEO Tim Cook signalled to investors that the company is open to acquisitions and partnerships to advance its AI strategy, speaking on the Q4 2025 earnings call. He also confirmed the next-generation, AI-powered Siri is on track for a 2026 launch.

When asked about Apple’s approach to AI, Cook confirmed the company is “open to pursuing M&A if we think that it will advance our roadmap”, reports TechCrunch. He also revealed that Apple plans to announce more AI partnerships, stating: “Our intention is to integrate with more people over time.”

Cook suggested AI is already influencing consumer buying decisions, adding: “I would say that Apple Intelligence is a factor, and we’re very bullish on it becoming a greater factor.”

He also noted that Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system is already handling some Siri queries and the infrastructure is ramping up, with a server manufacturing plant in Houston starting production a few weeks ago for use in the company’s data centres.

“Off-the-charts” reception

This aggressive AI push comes as Apple provided a strong forecast for a record-breaking December quarter, reports CNBC. Cook told the outlet that total company revenue is expected to grow 10% to 12% year-over-year, attributing the confidence to an “off-the-charts” reception for the new iPhone 17 devices.

For the quarter ending September 27, Apple reported $102.47 billion in revenue, beating analyst estimates.
