Roblox reported its best quarter ever, with daily active users leaping 70 per cent year-on-year to 151.5 million, far exceeding analyst expectations. Bookings, a measure of sales, totalled $1.92 billion.

The results surpassed analyst projections of 132.3 million daily active users and $1.7 billion in bookings, reports Bloomberg. The company said it benefited from huge traffic thanks to three hit games: Grow a Garden, 99 Nights in the Forest, and Steal a Brainrot.

“Our third-quarter results demonstrate the tremendous progress weʼve made toward our goal of capturing 10% of the global gaming market,” said co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer David Baszucki.

This goal is supported by the company’s recent platform expansion. On October 15, 2025, Roblox announced its availability on the Samsung Galaxy Store and natively on new Xbox Ally handheld devices , following its 2023 launches on Meta Quest and PlayStation.

Child safety concerns

In that announcement, Roblox noted that players who engage across multiple devices spend 2.5 times more and play 20 per cent longer than those who do not. Despite its growth, the company faces significant child safety concerns. Several Middle Eastern countries, including Iraq, Oman, Qatar, and Turkey, have banned the platform. In the US, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill sued Roblox, alleging it failed to sufficiently protect young people.

“The assertion that Roblox would intentionally put our users at risk of exploitation is categorically untrue,” a spokesperson said in an August email.

The company has since implemented dozens of safety updates. Roblox wrote that while the new policies might negatively impact platform engagement in the short term, it believes the long-term benefits for users, creators, and shareholders outweigh this.
